Zero Tolerance Statement
ACLEDA Bank Plc. is the leading commercial bank in Cambodia and first listed its equity securities on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) that has largest branch networks for offering multiple products and services to the customers such as credit, deposits, funds transfers, cash management, trade finance, ACLEDA cards, credit and debit cards, and digital services. The Bank's product designs and delivery channels do not cause harm to the customers and ensure the customers make use of appropriate products and services.
The Bank develops and adopts an industry-wide set of customer protection principles and its credit related staffs are regularly trained on how to make credit assessment, debt collection, code of conduct, lending guidelines, E&S impacts assessment and the mandatory course on responsible lending, etc.
This zero tolerance statement allows the Bank to proactively prevent its staff especially credit related staff from irresponsible lending causing over-indebtedness or unethical enforcement methods of debt collection against its internal policies (Credit Operating Manual, Credit Risk Management Operating Manual, Bad Debt Management Operating Manual) and the Banking Code of Conduct (Banking and Financial Institution Code of Conduct). The Bank's policies prohibit all forms of illegal actions and misconducts and ensure adequate safeguards to detect and correct corruption and aggressive treatment by its staffs during the loan assessment, debt collection processes, avoiding predatory lending and preventing over-indebtedness.
The Bank commits to seriously dealing with any allegation of irresponsible lending, over-indebtedness, enforcement of debt collection and other type of frauds or illegal practices against its policies that involve its staffs. For the Bank's staffs who committed the above-mentioned misconducts or all suspected allegation, disciplinary actions shall be taken against them according to the level of impacts and nature of such misconduct based on fairness and without discrimination.
