On July 04, 2008, ACLEDA Bank Plc. Koh Kong Branch was inaugurated under presidency of H.E. Yuth Phou Thang, Governor of Koh Kong province, and Mr. In Channy, President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank Plc.

The new location of Koh Kong branch is well located in business area and this new location is established right on time in line with Koh Kong's economic growth, H.E. Yuth Phou Thang said. He also congratulates ACLEDA Bank's managements that bring the bank to such a big success, opening opportunities to Koh Kong's businessmen and the general public to benefit from its financial resources.

Mr. Sim Kamsath, Vice President and Manager of Koh Kong branch, said that because of the good market superiority, this branch was transformed from district office, under supervisory of Sihanouk ville branch in December 2003, to branch office in January 2006 within a short time. Presently, the branch operates in 4 districts including Smach Mean Chey district, Mondul Seima district, Koh Kong district, and Kiri Sakor district and in the near future it will expand to cover Thma Bang district. On June 30, 2008, Koh Kong branch employs 46 staff and its assets is US$6,007,967, loans outstanding to 1,187 customers is US$5,042,405, and total deposit from 3,329 customers is nearly US$6 millions.

In this event, Mr. In Channy said that ACLEDA has rendered the financial services to customers and the public for 15 years in 214 branches and offices throughout the 24 provinces/towns and 3 branches and offices in Lao PDR. He is so proud of the premise of this new office built with respect to convenience, comfort, healthy working place and safety for our staff and customers and protects their long terms' interests with the bank. By the end of May, ACLEDA bank's assets increase to US$634 millions and will be the one-billion USD bank assets in the near future which is fundamental instruments for the economic development and the powerful tool to poverty alleviation.

In this enthusiasm ceremony, ACLEDA Bank would like to launch the International ACLEDA VISA Debit Card to facilitate the customers worldwide withdrawal and settlement automatically from customers' account with ACLEDA Bank via ATMs and POSs, where VISA sign appears, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, Mr. In Channy added.
