National Bank of Cambodia's Award

Phnom Penh — December 12, 2008 — ACLEDA Bank Plc, Cambodia's leading retail bank which has total assets of US$677 million and capital funds exceeding US$85 million operating in 220 branches and offices in every province in the country, has announced today that it has received an award from the National Bank of Cambodia. This award recognizes ACLEDA's outstanding contribution to bringing financial services to all sectors of the community throughout Cambodia.

Mr. In Channy, President and CEO, said that the marketing strategy to extend its outreach by opening new offices close to the customer and introducing attractive products and services specifically designed to meet the needs of all levels of society, was a vital ingredient in this success. "This has contributed to our strongest financial performance to date and we plan to further expand our network by at least 20 outlets in Cambodia next year as well as opening more offices through our subsidiary in the Lao PDR," he added.
