Mr. Chea Sok, Chairman of ACLEDA Bank, receives gift from H.E. Phouphet Khampounvong, Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR

In an international mission trip to Cambodia, on January 30, 2009 evening, the delegations of Bank of the Lao PDR led by H.E. Phouphet Khamphounvong, governor of Bank of the Lao PDR visited and acknowledge the development of ACLEDA Bank at its headquarters in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The delegations were warmly welcomed by managements and staff of ACLEDA Bank.

Mr. Chea Sok, Chairman of ACLEDA Bank, thanked the Bank of the Lao PDR for supporting and allowing ACLEDA Bank to open its branches in Vientiane, Savannakhet and Champasak, especially to Laos people for their confidence and supports to ACLEDA Bank in Laos. In this year, ACLEDA Bank Lao will establish 7 more branches and offices to contribute to the economics development in Laos as it did in Cambodia.

Mr. In Channy, President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank Plc., presented to the delegations the development of ACLEDA Bank that has rendered the financial services to customers and the public for 16 years throughout 226 branches and offices in all 24 provinces/towns in Cambodia and 3 branches in Loas with more than 800,000 customers who supported ACLEDA Bank and made ACLEDA Bank's assets increase to more than US$690 million at the end of 2008.

H.E. Phouphet Khampounvong said that in this mission we have signed on a memorandum about counterpart cooperation with National Bank of Cambodia, and ACLEDA Bank is the first choice as a developing partner in Laos and enhanced cooperation with both ACLEDA Bank in Laos and Cambodia.
