Grand Opening of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Kandal Branch

On February 27, 2009, ACLEDA Bank Plc. Kandal Branch celebrates its new office, #15, National road No.2, Takhmao village, Sangkat Takhmao, Takhmao municipality, Kandal province, Cambodia, under presidency of Kandal Province Deputy Governor, Chairman, Vice-chairman, and Board of Directors, President & CEO, Management of ACLEDA Bank, and local and international guests.
Mr. SIN Chhin, Vice President and Branch Manager of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Kandal Branch, said "As of January 31, 2009 — ACLEDA Bank Plc. Kandal Branch employs 140 staff, our total assets is nearly US$12 million, loan outstanding is more than US$11 million to more than 5,195 customers, total deposits from more than 10,426 customers is nearly US$5 million and many more customers are using our products & services."
"ACLEDA Bank Plc. Kandal Branch was relocated and built with high standard as a commercial bank in business area. The building has two and a half floor high atrium which provides security, fire protection, energy conservation and occupational health and safety," he added. "ACLEDA Bank Plc. Kandal Branch was established to serve its customers in early 2001, as a district office, and it was transformed to full operations as branch in February 2006."
During the event, H.E. OU Som Oun, Deputy Governor of Kandal province, said "Today is a special occasion that ACLEDA Bank inaugurates its new Kandal Branch with larger space. This evidence proves that ACLEDA Bank Kandal Branch was dramatically growth either operations, infrastructures and effective business."
"In this occasion, I, in the name of Kandal's authority, highly appreciate and compliment on efforts of the management of ACLEDA Bank Plc., particularly Kandal Branch and strongly supports and welcomes the development of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Kandal Branch. I think the growth and development of ACLEDA Bank Kandal Branch will bring more benefits to people and businessmen to get access to financial resources and other financial services which are key elements to generate jobs and incomes, and a part of the developing economy and improving standard of living in the whole Kandal province," he said.
H.E. OU Som Oun added, "I do believe that ACLEDA Bank Plc. especially Kandal Branch will continue their good cooperations with local authorities, and acts as a good financial services provider to customers to enhance its operations effectively."
Mr. IN Channy, President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank, said "ACLEDA has rendered the financial services to customers and the public for 16 years in 226 branches and offices throughout Cambodia and 3 branches in Laos. We currently have 94 branches with high standard facilities as this one and 22 more branches being built. Today, I am very proud of this new office that was built with banking standard, and we will upgrade all our branches and offices to meet such a high standard to provide more convenience for our customers to operate financial services and, especially, protect their assets with ACLEDA Bank."
"In this occasion, I would like to express my deeply thanked to the Royal Government, National Bank of Cambodia, Authorities, Shareholders, all 6,223 employees, and 900,000 intelligent customers who always support and actively cooperate with ACLEDA Bank, made ACLEDA's assets rapidly increased to US$718 million at the end of January, 2009 including the achievement of Kandal Branch that Mr. SIN Chhin reported earlier. Our assets will reach US$1,000 million in shortly after. This proves that our strong relationship is the most significant tools and key elements to develop our society and economy in a sustainable manner," he added.
