Grand Opening of Bakan District Branch

On April 24, 2009, ACLEDA Bank Plc. Bakan District Branch celebrates its new office, Kraol Krabei village, Trapeang Choung commune, Bakan district, Pursat province, Cambodia, under presidency of Pursat Province Deputy Governor; Excellencies and Lauk Chumteav all level of local authorities; Chairman, Board of Directors, President & CEO and Management of ACLEDA Bank; and honourable guests.

Mr. LAO Kossal, Vice President and Branch Manager of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Bakan District Branch, said "Bakan District Branch was relocated and built with high standard as a commercial bank in business area which provides security, fire protection, energy conservation, occupational health and safety and close to our customers. The building has two floors high atrium and provides a large working space."

"Next year, ACLEDA Bank Plc. Bakan District Branch will equip an automated teller machine (ATM) to provide more convenience for its customers, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, including public holiday," he added.

During the event, H.E. TY Kim Toc, Deputy Governor of Pursat province, said "In this occasion, I, in the name of Pursat's authority, highly appreciate and compliment on efforts of the management of ACLEDA Bank Plc., particularly Bakan District Branch and strongly supports and welcomes the development of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Bakan District Branch. I think the growth and development of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Bakan District Branch will bring more benefits to people in the whole Bakan district."

"I do believe that ACLEDA Bank Plc. especially Bakan District Branch will continue their good cooperation with local authorities, and acts as a good financial services provider to customers to enhance its operations effectively in the whole of Pursat province," he said.

Mr. IN Channy, President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank, said "ACLEDA has rendered the financial services to customers and the public for 16 years in 227 branches and offices throughout Cambodia and 3 branches in Laos. We currently have 43 branches with high standard facilities as this one and 23 more branches being built. Today, I am very proud of this new office that was built with banking standard, and we will upgrade all our branches and offices to meet such a high standard to provide more convenience for our customers to operate financial services and, especially, protect their assets with ACLEDA Bank."

"In this occasion, I would like to express my deeply thanked to the Royal Government, National Bank of Cambodia, Authorities, Shareholders, all 6,524 employees, and 900,000 intelligent customers who always support and actively cooperate with ACLEDA Bank, made ACLEDA's assets rapidly increased to US$747 million at the end of March 2009. Our assets will reach US$1,000 million in shortly after.
