Grand Opening of Prey Veng Branch New Office

On January 22, 2010, ACLEDA Bank Plc. Prey Veng Branch, located in village 7, Sangkat Kampong Leav, Prey Veng municipality, Prey Veng province, Cambodia, celebrates grand opening of its new office presided over by H.E. Governor & H.E. Deputy Governor of Prey Veng province; Delegation of the International Business Chamber; all level of authorities; Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Board of Directors of ACLEDA Bank Plc.; President & CEO, and management of ACLEDA Bank; as well as many other distinguished guests.

During such grand occasion, Mr. TOCH Bunboramy, Vice President & Branch Manager of Prey Veng Branch, announced, "As of December 31, 2009, Prey Veng branch had 7 offices with 149 staff, 1 ATM, total asset almost US$14 million, loan portfolio almost US$13 million with 12,090 clients, deposit over US$4 million with 8,990 customers; and other customers are using other services."

Mr. IN Channy, President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank Plc., said, "Sustainability is a vital vision of ACLEDA Bank. This continues to be our guiding principle today throughout the 244 branches and offices in the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao PDR."

"Currently ACLEDA Bank had 70 standard offices built to provide the most comfortable and efficient facilities for our customers to conduct their financial affairs. Our investment is not only about convenience or image, but also long-term commitment to the community to safeguard the assets of our customers who depend on ACLEDA Bank", he continued.

He also expressed his grateful thanks to the government, the National Bank of Cambodia, the local authorities, shareholders, all 7,259 employees and 900 thousand loyal customers who had always supported ACLEDA Bank so that the bank's assets had increased to US$922 millions as of December, 2009 from only US$22.3 million in December 2000. Saving deposit customers had increased to over 600 thousand customers equal to 86% of total saving deposit customers of over 700 thousand customers for the whole banking sector, and number of loan disbursed had increased to over 240 thousand clients equal to 93% of total loan disbursed of over 260 thousand clients for the whole banking sector.

H.E. UNG Samy, the Governor of Prey Veng Province, noticed, "The development of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Prey Veng Branch is the evidence of the growth and solidarity and also shows the contribution in developing the economy of Cambodia, especially Prey Veng province." He proudly added, "The large and luxurious new office shows that ACLEDA Bank Plc. Prey Veng Branch has established and grown dramatically in its operations, organisational structure, and effective business."
