Grand Opening of Memot District Branch New Office

ACLEDA Bank Plc. Memot District Branch, located along National Road No. 7, Memot Phsar Village, Memot Commune, Memot District, Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, celebrates grand opening of its new office presided over by Memot District Governor, all levels of authorities, EVP & Chief Operations Officer and Management of ACLEDA Bank as well as many other distinguished guests.
Mr. KONG Rithy, Vice President and Manager of ACLEDA Bank Plc. Memot District Branch, stated, "By December 31, 2010, this branch consists of three offices, 60 staffs, a total asset of almost USD10 million, 3,140 customers crediting over USD8 million, 6,164 customers depositing almost USD3 million and many other customers using other services including ACLEDA Unity. Especially, we have one ATM to serve customers holding ACLEDA Card, ACLEDA VISA Debit Card, and other banks' VISA Cards globally."
"Now Memot District Branch has moved to this new commercial bank's standard building of 2 floors and provides large working space and banking hall. It was built for security, fire prevention, energy reserve, convenience and sound environment. This is a remarkable achievement in Memot District Branch during this year which shows the strength and ongoing improvement in serving best financial services to meet the needs of all customers," he added.
During this grand occasion, Mrs. SO Phonnary — Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, representative of President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank — said, "Sustainability is a vital vision of ACLEDA Bank. She also expressed her grateful thanks to the Royal Government, the National Bank of Cambodia, Shareholders, Board of Directors, 6,977 ACLEDA staff, and over 1 million faithful customers who had always supported ACLEDA Bank so that the bank's assets had increased to over US$1,233 million as of January, 2011 from only US$22.3 million in December 2000. Mr. CHENG Bunnara, Memot District Governor, notified, "Memot District Branch started its operations since May 2002 in the form of Post Service and in April 2008 it was transformed into a branch for full operations widely in Memot District; and this reflects the enhancement of its operations and business. Such development is very fruitful for the residents and all businessmen in the entire Memot District to gain financial resources and other services which contribute to the economic development and promotion of living standards of people. Besides banking service, it also participates actively in Arts and Sports activities."
