Grand Opening of Prey Chhor District Branch New Office

ACLEDA Bank's Prey Chhor District Branch; located along National Road No. 7, Prey Totueng Village, Chreyvien Commune, Prey Chhor District, Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia; celebrates grand opening of its new office presided over by the Governor of Prey Chhor District, all levels of local authorities, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer representative of President & CEO, and Management of ACLEDA Bank as well as many other distinguished guests.
Mr. SENG Kheng, VP & Manager of Prey Chhor District Branch, stated "As of November 30, 2011, Prey Chhor District Branch has 5 offices; 111 staffs; total assets of over US$18.1 million; 7,829 customers crediting over US$17.1 million; 11,247 customers depositing almost US$4.5 million and many other customers using other services including ACLEDA Unity. Especially, we have an ATM machine to serve customers holding ACLEDA Card, ACLEDA VISA Debit Card, and other banks' VISA cards globally."
"This new building is built as commercial bank's standard with large working and serving space for security, fire prevention, energy reserve, convenience and sound environment. This is a remarkable achievement in Prey Chhor District Branch during this year and shows the strength and ongoing improvement in serving best financial services to meet the needs of all customers," he added.
During this great occasion, Mr. CHAN Serey — Executive Vice President and Chief Administration Officer, representative of President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank Plc. — said, "Sustainability is a vital vision of ACLEDA Bank. It was founded with sustainability focus for over 18 years providing exclusive financial services for all — both private and public sectors throughout the 251 branches and offices in the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao PDR."
He also expressed his grateful and deep thanks to the Government, the National Bank of Cambodia, the local authorities, shareholders, 7,525 staffs, and over a million loyal customers who had always supported ACLEDA Bank. Hence, the bank could increase its assets from only US$22.3 million in December 2000 to US$1,453 million as of October 31, 2011 including the achievement of Prey Chhor District Branch. One of the vital strategies was to equip the advanced online electronic banking system and deploy ATMs throughout the country, especially for providing services to the bank's customers, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
He also added that ACLEDA Bank had created its subsidiaries which are ACLEDA Securities Plc. and four agencies (Securities Registrar, Paying Agent, Securities Transfer Agent and Cash Settlement Agent), gathering momentum in boosting the development in securities sector and economic growth. Meanwhile, ACLEDA Bank had also created the ACLEDA Training Center in order to develop human resources and share all experiences and the success in microfinance sector to all the operators and microfinance institutions in and out of region wide. Moreover, ACLEDA Bank has created its subsidiary abroad "ACLEDA Bank Lao Ltd." to expand its operation in the ASEAN region and all countries along the Mekong River.
Mr. SREY Savoeurn — the Governor of Prey Chhor District, representative of the Governor of Kampong Cham Province — said "The development of ACLEDA Bank Prey Chhor District Branch has provided many benefits to all residents and businessmen in Prey Chhor District through its financing and products. This is a part of generating job, income, economic development, promoting people's living standard and poverty reduction. Prey Chhor District Branch is still being a good developing partner with the province, district, and as a good operator with all level local authorities and also a good financial service provider to the customers in order to expand its operations with effectiveness and more productiveness."
