Grand Opening of Preah Vihear Branch New Office

ACLEDA Bank's Preah Vihear Branch; located along Koh Ker Street, Lor Oet Village, Sangkat Kampong Pranak, Preah Vihear Municipality, Preah Vihear Province, Cambodia; celebrates grand opening of its new office presided over by the Chairman of Provincial Council, the Governor and Deputy Governor of Preah Vihear Province, all levels of authorities, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACLEDA Bank, President & CEO and management of ACLEDA Bank as well as many other distinguished guests.
Mr. PHANN Chamrong, Vice President & Branch Manager of Preah Vihear Branch, stated "As of December 31, 2011, Preah Vihear Branch has 6 offices; 96 staff; total assets of US$7.7 million; 4,500 customers crediting US$6.9 million; 8,200 customers depositing US$5.1 million and many other customers using other services including ACLEDA Unity. Moreover, we have an ATM to serve customers holding ACLEDA Card, ACLEDA VISA Debit Card, and other banks' VISA cards globally."
"This new building is built as commercial bank's standard with large working and serving space for security, fire prevention, energy reserve, convenience and sound environment. This is a remarkable achievement in Preah Vihear Branch during this year and shows the strength and ongoing improvement in serving best financial services to meet the needs of all customers," he added.
During this great occasion, Mr. IN Channy, President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank Plc., said "Sustainability is a vital vision of ACLEDA Bank. It was founded with sustainability focus for over 20 years providing exclusive financial services for all — both private and public sectors throughout the 253 branches and offices in the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao PDR. This provides the most comfortable and efficient facilities for our customers to conduct their financial transactions, particularly to safeguard their assets with ACLEDA Bank. Today I am so proud of this new standard office built with our long-term strategies."
He also expressed his grateful and deep thanks to the Government, the National Bank of Cambodia, the local authorities, shareholders, 7,600 staff, and over a million loyal customers who had always supported ACLEDA Bank. Hence, the bank could increase its assets from only US$22.3 million in December 2000 to US$1,542 million as of December 31, 2011 including the achievement of Preah Vihear Branch. One of the vital strategies was to equip the advanced online electronic banking system and mobile banking system and deploy ATMs throughout the country, especially for providing services to the bank's customers, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
He also added that ACLEDA Bank had created its subsidiaries which are ACLEDA Securities Plc. and four agencies (Securities Registrar, Paying Agent, Securities Transfer Agent and Cash Settlement Agent), gathering momentum in boosting the development in securities sector and economic growth. Meanwhile, ACLEDA Bank had also created the ACLEDA Training Center in order to develop human resources and share all experiences and the success in microfinance sector to all the operators and microfinance institutions in and out of region wide. Moreover, ACLEDA Bank has created its subsidiary abroad "ACLEDA Bank Lao Ltd." to expand its operation in the ASEAN region and all countries along the Mekong River.
H.E. OUM Mara, the Governor of Preah Vihear Province, said "The development of ACLEDA Bank's Preah Vihear Branch is the evidence of the growth and solidarity and also shows the contribution in developing the economy of Cambodia, especially Preah Vihear province."
He proudly added, "Today is a special occasion that ACLEDA Bank inaugurates its new Preah Vihear Branch with larger space and more luxurious office. This evidence proves that Preah Vihear Branch has established and grown dramatically either operations, infrastructure and effective business. In this occasion, I, in the name of Preah Vihear Province's authority, highly appreciate and compliment on efforts of the board of directors, management and staff of ACLEDA Bank Plc., particularly Preah Vihear Branch and strongly supports and welcomes the development of ACLEDA Bank. I think the growth and development of ACLEDA Bank's Preah Vihear Branch will bring more benefits to people and businessmen to get access to financial resources and other financial services which are key elements to generate jobs and incomes, and a part of the developing economy and improving people's living standard in Preah Vihear Province."
