Grand Opening of Otdar Meanchey Branch New Office

ACLEDA Bank's Otdar Meanchey Branch; located in Samraong Village, Sangkat Samraong, Samraong Municipality, Otdar Meanchey Province, Cambodia; celebrates grand opening of its new office presided over by the Deputy Governor of Otdar Meanchey Province; all levels of authorities; the Board of Directors, President & CEO and management of ACLEDA Bank; as well as many other distinguished guests.
Mr. SOY Darith, VP & Branch Manager of Otdar Meanchey Branch, stated "As of March 31, 2012, Otdar Meanchey Branch has 05 offices; 99 staff; total assets of US$11.7 million; 4,437 customers crediting US$9.2 million; 11,087 customers depositing US$7.5 million and many other customers using other services including ACLEDA Unity. Moreover, we have 2 ATMs; one in Otdar Meanchey Branch and other one in Anlong Veng District Office; to serve customers 24 hours a day and 7 days a week via ACLEDA Card, ACLEDA VISA Debit Card, and other banks' VISA cards globally."
"This new building is built as ACLEDA Bank's standard with large working and serving space for security, fire prevention, energy reserve, convenience and sound environment. This is a remarkable achievement in Otdar Meanchey Branch during this year and shows the strength and ongoing improvement in serving best financial services rapidly, reliably, and safely to meet the needs of all customers," he added.
During this great occasion, Mr. IN Channy, President & CEO of ACLEDA Bank, said "Sustainability is a vital vision of ACLEDA Bank. He also expressed his grateful and deep thanks to the Government, the National Bank of Cambodia, the local authorities, shareholders, all 7,729 employees and over a million loyal customers who had always supported us. Hence, the bank could increase its assets from only US$22.3 million in December 2000 to US$1,694 million as of March 31, 2012, including the achievement of Otdar Meanchey Branch. One of the vital strategies was to equip the advanced online electronic banking system and mobile banking system and deploy ATMs throughout the country, especially for providing services to the bank's customers, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
He also added that, "ALCEDA Bank Plc. had created its subsidiaries which are ACLEDA Securities Plc. and four agencies (Securities Registrar, Paying Agent, Securities Transfer Agent and Cash Settlement Agent) gathering momentum in boosting the development in securities sector and economic growth. Meanwhile, ACLEDA Bank had also created the ACLEDA Training Center in order to develop human resources and share all experiences and the success in microfinance sector to all the operators and microfinance institutions in and out of region wide. Moreover, ACLEDA Bank had created its subsidiary abroad 'ACLEDA Bank Lao Ltd.' and continues to further expand its operations in all countries along the Mekong River after we succeed in Lao PDR and Myanmar."
H.E. LOUN An, the Deputy Governor of Otdar Meanchey Province, said "The development of ACLEDA Bank Otdar Meanchey Branch is the evidence of the growth and solidarity and also shows the contribution in developing the economy of Cambodia, especially Otdar Meanchey Province. Today is the particular time of launching the operations of the new office of Otdar Meanchey Branch which is large and luxurious. All of these are showing that this branch has established and grown dramatically in its operations, organizational structure, and effectiveness business. That development has provided more benefit to all people and businessmen in the province through its financing and products. This is the main key in increasing the job opportunity, income, economic development and people's living standard in the province."
