Signing the Memorandum of Understanding between ACLEDA Bank Plc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation

Phnom Penh, August 24, 2012, ACLEDA Bank Plc., a leading commercial bank for all sectors, hereby announces that it has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) on Mutual Business Cooperation.

Under the agreement, both banks will provide mutual support for their respective clients and as well as the economic cooperation between Cambodia and Japan on the activities such as loans, deposits, money transfer, cash management, trade finance and other bank services. Moreover, both banks will mutually exchange general information on their own country's economy, industry, financial products, banking and finance markets, foreign trade, systems and regulations on banking and finance industry as well as clients' credit information.

Mr. Masayuki Shimura, Director and Head of Asia Pacific Division of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, said, "This is the first time that Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation selects ACLEDA Bank Plc. to be a partner on Mutual Business Cooperation, and contributing to the continuous growth of economic cooperation between Cambodia and Japan.
