This year is the same as the previous years, at headquarters and all branches of ACLEDA Bank throughout Cambodia celebrated the New Year 2013 party for wishing and expressing thanks to all our loyal customers who had always supported and trusted us, and to all management and staff for their efforts. We also announce our strategies for 2013 and the following years to management and staff to implement efficiencies.

Strategies for 2013, the year for maximizing and making the full use of the capacity of electronic banking

  1. As its signature name "The Bank You Can Trust", ACLEDA Bank Plc. under the motto of the "Bank for the People" seeks to embrace the whole of society and aims to treat all customers with the same service and courtesy irrespective of their status. The bank continuing growth every year to become the leader in Cambodia that it is today gives credence to this philosophy and our management and staff are greatly encouraged by these results which will motivate us to strive even harder to meet the public's expectations.

  3. Continue to adapt the medium term strategies to maximize long term shareholders' value which we all belong and benefit from its prosperity.
  4. To continue to expand on ACLEDA's leading position in retail banking by delivering a full range of financial products and services to all sectors of the community by:
    • Using experiences gained in core micro and small businesses to develop 'service culture' and grow product range as the market expands and demand arises.
    • Emphasizes investment in R&D to develop core banking and financial products/services of universal appeal to satisfy the needs of all customers.
    • Continue to improve the distribution channel and bank infrastructure by upgrading the branch and office network and facilities, ATMs, POS Terminals, and electronic banking including the ACLEDA Unity and Internet Banking.

    • Diversify and expand sources of income derived by cross-selling between group companies; ACLEDA Bank Lao Ltd., ACLEDA Securities Plc., ACLEDA Training Center, and ACLEDA MFI Myanmar Co., Ltd.
    • To maintain competitive advantage by continuing to invest in upgrading and expansion of our IT systems to improve operational efficiency, enhance security and convenience for the customers and the bank and reduce risk through the automation of manual procedures.
    • To investigate and develop opportunities for further regional expansion of ACLEDA Bank to other countries in ASEAN and Mekong region.
    • To continue to promote the ACLEDA Training Center as a separate sustainable business to allow it to develop its own role as an internationally respected educational establishment offering superior training and recognized qualifications both for external students as well as our own staff.
  5. Keep upgrading the human resource capacity for cross function by building the capacity of both the management team and staff of all subsidiaries to be best managers in their respective industries, and to be best servicing their customers/partners.
  6. To explore and develop strategic partnership with reputable counterparties in activities that is synergistic with the bank's core business to satisfy experiences and to lay the ground for further investment.
  7. To make preparation to comply with all requirements to list in Cambodian Stock Market when it is appropriate.
  8. To increase the outreaches by both means the physical branch and office network, and electronic bank infrastructure.
    • Accelerating the fielding of Point of Sale, and make active use for all means of payment between merchant customers and the public at large.
    • Making full use of ACLEDA Unity for loan related financial products actively.
    • Maximizing the ATM functions to broaden the financial services with consideration of both convenience and security.
    • Service the customers with Internet Bank serviced channel as another service of choices.
  9. To continue to upgrade the electronic infrastructure so that they can substitute the physical branch and office network, and make ACLEDA Bank nationwide the center for major brand card payment and/or settlement.
  10. Explore more opportunities and means to provide full range of financial services to the public sector in addition to the current services.
