ACLEDA Bank Plc. has donated 3,000 million Riels to Cambodian Government in their humanitarian activities and prevention from COVID-19 Pandemic

ACLEDA Bank Plc., on the April 2, 2020, donates an aggregate amount of 3,000 million (or three billion) Riels to the Royal Government of Cambodia. The donations were intended to contribute and assist the government in social and humanitarian activities. The recipients of the donations are:

The Royal Government of Cambodia with an amount of 800 (eight hundred) million Riels. This fund was directly donated by the Bank to the government for the effort of coordinating and combating the COVID-19.
The Royal Government of Cambodia with an amount of 200 (two hundred) million Riels. This fund was donated by the Bank, through the Association of Banks in Cambodia, to the government for the effort of coordinating and combating the COVID-19.
The Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation with an amount of 1,200 (one thousand two hundred) million Riels to support the charitable causes in Cambodia.
The Cambodian Red Cross with an amount of 800 (eight hundred) million Riels to support humanitarian activities and support the activities of the Cambodian Red Cross.

Dr. IN Channy, President & Group Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank Plc. said that good health is of utmost important for all people since they are the driving force behind nation building and socio-economic development. Healthy people contribute the most in economic development. Therefore, the Bank decided to contribute to humanity activities with the government to support public welfare, to prevent catastrophic event caused by the spread of COVID-19 during this difficult time. The Bank commits to donate funds for supporting activities of the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation and Cambodian Red Cross annually.
