Phnom Penh - September 19, 2022, ACLEDA Bank Plc., the bank you can trust, the bank for the people, has announced today that it warmly welcomed the delegates of the SME Global Finance who have paid the official visit at its Headquarters.
Dr. IN Channy, President & Group Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank Plc., explained that the purpose of the visit is to get insight into the development of SME, banking sectors, ACLEDA Bank and its contribution to national economy and SMEs sustainable growth.
He highlighted that ACLEDA Bank Plc. ("the Bank") has gone through many development phases from a local NGO to a full-pledged commercial bank and to become a large commercial bank in Cambodia. The Bank is also the first Cambodian bank expanded its operations regionally to neighboring countries — Laos and Myanmar in 2008 and 2013 respectively.
In May 2020, the Bank was successfully become the first commercial bank in Cambodia listed its shares on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX).
He is happy to share and at the same time learnt from the delegates who are business leaders of different entities from around the globe, and he hopes that combing successfully expertise and experiences will be best benefit to mutual business entities as well as small and medium enterprises globally.
The Bank has 4 subsidiaries, they are ACLEDA Institute of Business, ACLEDA Securities Plc., ACLEDA Bank Lao Ltd., and ACLEDA MFI Myanmar Co., Ltd. as well as representative offices in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
By June 2022, ACLEDA Bank Plc. had US$8.34 billion in total assets, US$6 billion in total credit balance and over US$6 billion in total saving deposits with over 3.59 million customers.
In term of mobile banking, the Bank has 2.5 million users with 175K partners as at the end of August 2022.
