To protect yourself, it is essential to follow important safety tips for good cyber hygiene below:
Keep Your PIN Safe
- Memorize it: Don't write it down!
- Keep it private: No peeking when you enter your PIN.
- Change it regularly: Pick something hard to guess (not birthdays!).
Protect Your Phone
- Download wisely: Avoid unknown apps.
- Keep it clean: Check for suspicious apps and delete them.
- Lock it up: Don't leave your phone unlocked and unattended.
- Log out always: End your ACLEDA mobile session after each use.
- Keep software updated: Update your mobile OS and apps to benefit from the latest security patches.
In Case of Trouble
- Forgot PIN? Use "Forgot PIN" to reset. Don't delete the app!
- Lost or damaged phone? Contact ACLEDA to block your account.
- Selling your phone? Delete the ACLEDA mobile app first.
Stop Scammers
- Never share PIN/OTP: ACLEDA Bank won't ask for them.
- Secure your phone: Use a passcode, Face ID, or fingerprint.
- Store sensitive info elsewhere: Don't keep ID, passport, or card details on your phone.
- Use Face ID or Fingerprint: It adds an extra layer of protection for logging in and transactions.
- Avoid public Wi-Fi: Use secure, private networks for financial transactions.
- Monitor account activity: Set up real-time alerts and review transactions for unauthorized activity.
- Be skeptical of unsolicited messages: Avoid clicking on links or sharing personal info from unknown emails or texts. Verify directly with your bank.
- Never send money to strangers, locally or overseas, for payments or promised rewards. ACLEDA Bank will never ask for your account details or password via phone or email. We also never request money transfers. If you receive suspicious messages, ignore them.
- Enable extra protection: Enable all security features when having new release of the ACLEDA Supper app.
