National Bank of Cambodia and Bank of Thailand Visit ACLEDA Bank Battambang Municipality Branch

The meeting at the Battambang Municipality Branch

Battambang — August 25, 2010 — Bank of Thailand, led by Mr. Pongrit Virachart, Team Executive, and accompanied by National Bank of Cambodia conducted a study visit to ACLEDA Bank Battambang Municipality Branch. There were four senior economists from Bank of Thailand, delegation from National Bank of Cambodia, ACLEDA Bank's Vice President and Head of Financial Institution Department as well as the Management Team of ACLEDA Bank Battambang Municipality Branch participating in this study tour.

The main purpose of this visit is to learn the operations of micro business loan in Cambodia. It lasted one day and there were two crucial activities, meeting at the Battambang Municipality Branch and field trip.

Delegates are visiting ACLEDA Bank's customer making baby duck eggs.

The meeting at the Battambang Municipality Branch discussed on general overview of ACLEDA Bank such as: Background, Vision & Mission, Organizational Chart, Shareholders, Boards, Management, Corporate Profile, Networks, Recent Financial Performance, Awards, etc.

During the above meeting, the raised questions were related to the market practice of micro business loan and how to manage this business successfully.

After group discussion at the Battambang Municipality Branch, the group left for field visit on the same day. During the trip around the Battambang province which took about 2 hours, the group had a chance to view the business activities of 3 ACLEDA Bank's micro business loan customers in this beautiful town.

They had a very good time during the trip, especially gained useful knowledge and enjoyable experience.
