ACLEDA Bank and Ministry of Interior Launch E-Payment Services and POS Terminals for Visa Fee Collection

On Thursday morning, December 19, 2024, at the Ministry of Interior, H.E. Seng Youan, Director General of the General Department of Logistics and Finance, the highest representative of H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Dr. In Channy, President and Group Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank Plc., on behalf of ACLEDA Bank Plc., jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding "MOU" on usage of E-Payment Services and POS Terminals of ACLEDA Bank Plc. for collecting Visa Fee from Customers (Visa on Arrival).
This MOU is obviously significant for connecting technological advancement to a digital economy as well as offering the comprehensive payment approach with the convenience and secure for foreign travelers traveling to Cambodia to obtain Visa on Arrival at international airports of Cambodia quickly.
The international travelers who complete the hard copy of visa application form and apply for Visa on Arrival at any international airport's counter in Cambodia are able to make the visa fee payment via ACLEDA Bank's digital payment services and POS terminals by scanning QR or tapping any card including VISA, Mastercard, UnionPay (UPI), JCB, Diners Club International (DCI), Discover, American Express, all ACLEDA Cards, CSS Cards, WeChat, GLN, KHQR Bakong, Bakong Tourists, etc. or other payment methods.
The use of the visa services to enter the Kingdom of Cambodia (Visa on Arrival) developed by the General Department of Immigration of the Ministry of Interior collaborating with other relevant ministries and institutions is a joint achievement of the Royal Government under the wise leadership and long-term vision of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN MANET, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in order to attract tourists and investors as defined in the Pentagon strategy and align with the context of the rapidly growing world of technology.
