Government Bond Service

ACLEDA Bank optained license from the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia to provide intermediary service to buy/sell Government Bond (subscription, trading, and settlement) to insurance companies, national social security fund, customer and publics (both Cambodian and foreign) and other institutions.

Government Bonds refer to bonds and other financial instruments that certify the recognition of debts issued on behalf of the Royal Government under the law on Government Bond, including:

Treasury Bill with less than 1 year maturity
Treasury Bond with 1 year and above maturity
Other government bonds

Can predict in advance the interest income and cash flow of capital invested in the government bond.

Government Bond's Special Features

Face Value Per Bond: KHR 1 million
Maturity: 1, 3, & 5 years
Coupon Type: Fixed
Day Count: Actual
Principal Amount Payment: At the end of maturity date.
Currency: KHR

Investment Capital

Minimum investment: KHR 100 million for corporate investor.
Minimum investment: KHR 20 million for individual investor.
Total number, coupon rate and issuing amount of government bonds will be announced by the National Bank of Cambodia.

Certificate of Government Bond

It is a certificate of purchase the government bond that customer agreed to deposit and buy government bond at ACLEDA Bank Plc. for a specified period.
Government Bond can be traded on the market, such as buying/selling or transferring and use as collateral to apply loan from ACLEDA Bank Plc.

Application for Purchase of Government Bond

You have to register for the purchase of government bond and submit the bid price (coupon rate with minimum & maximum price) in advance at ACLEDA Bank's branch.
